White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today we’re talking all about a dupe for the Panera duet cookies.

Since leaving the Midwest I have learned that Panera is not easily available everywhere. This obviously was heartbreaking because since the day I got my driver's license a weekly stop at Panera to get my favorite mediterranean veggie sandwich, strawberry banana smoothie, and cookie was an absolute must. I have been craving their cookies especially since being pregnant and having my daughter. I knew I had to find a replacement before I made my sweet husband drive 45 minutes to the closest location just to get me a cookie!

So, even though I’m not about to whip up another batch until I’ve slept more than three consecutive hours (life with a baby), you should go make some for both of us. And don’t skip the sea salt on the top, it takes everything up a notch.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • sea salt for sprinkling

What You’ll Do:

  • Cream butter and sugar together before mixing in eggs and vanilla.

  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.

  • Mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture.

  • Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

  • Scoop out tablespoon sized balls of dough onto a cookie sheet and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. .

Pretty easy, am I right! These are perfect to bring to your next family gathering, or even to snack on with just you and your littles. An extra tip is that you can substitute the softened butter for coconut oil if you are like me and forget to set your butter out a few hours before starting to bake (mom brain).
